Ivory Nyx on Sex Work, Stigma, and the Art of Tease as Emotional Care
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What happens when a lifelong performer trades the ballet stage for the Mustang Ranch? We sit down with Ivory Nyx, a former contemporary ballerina, burlesque artist, and now legal courtesan. Ivory walks us through her journey from a childhood spent in dance studios to a professional career, and then into stripping and Nevada's legal brothel system.
She explains why the Mustang Ranch model of meeting in a bar and talking before any negotiation creates safer, more human connections than traditional lineup houses. We dig into the nuts and bolts of brothel life: why pricing can’t be discussed online, how negotiations actually work, and how she sets expectations around everything from kissing and kinks to time, so no one is surprised. We also address porn’s influence on behavior, especially with younger clients who equate speed with passion. Ivory shares how she slows the energy, re-centers consent, and reminds clients that hygiene and honesty beat bravado every time.
Off the clock, she talks about managing stigma in her personal life, keeping a small, trusted circle, and prioritizing self-care through lifting, yoga, and aerial hoop. She’s candid about her own desires, favorite toys, and future plans to return to school.

My guest this episode is a very lovely courtesan from the Mustang Ranch. Ivory Nyx, thank you for joining us today.
Childhood In Dance
Ivory NyxThank you. Thank you for having me.
Nosy Neighbor. So tell us a little bit about your upbringing. What was your childhood like?
Performing And Stage Presence
Ivory NyxOoh, okay. So my childhood revolved around dance. I was really into dance all growing up. I started dancing when I was two and a half years old. And yeah, I feel like my whole like social circle during my childhood revolved around the dance studio. I would go like right after school until like 9 p.m. Like almost every single night after school. And yeah, I did that for a while actually. I ended up going to college for dance. I studied, I had my BFA in dance with an emphasis in ballet. And yeah, after that, I danced professionally for like five years uh before I started getting into sex work. And yeah, that's kind of like about me in the background, I guess.
Nosy Neighbor. And when you say dance professionally, again, we're talking ballet and and professional stuff, not the typical stuff that someone might associate with a courtesan.
Ivory NyxCorrect. I've done that too, the typical stuff. But I before I did that, I yeah, I I was in a contemporary ballet company. A couple of them for like five years.
Nosy Neighbor. And what was it about dance that you enjoyed? Was it the performance? Was it the audience you appreciating your performance? Was it just the freedom that the dance gave you creativity? What was it?
Burlesque Explained
Ivory NyxIt was definitely the performing aspect. I love being on stage, even now to this day. I mean, I don't know if you know this, but the Mustang Ranch has in the bar area where you can meet girls, there's a stage, and that's a great way to kind of introduce yourself to clients and kind of give them a little show before you take them back. But yeah, I love being on stage. I love performing. My Zodiac finds Leo, so I guess it's kind of in my in my nature to be on stage. But yeah, it's definitely always been my favorite part of dancing.
Nosy Neighbor. And one of the things that you do or enjoy is burlesque dancing. Tell us a little bit about what because I know what it is, but I've always had a trouble understanding is it meant to be sexual, is it meant to be slightly arousing? How because it's it's almost like a clean adult day. I've never known how how really how to react to it.
Ivory NyxYeah, so like originally burlesque was kind of like a comical, sexy style of dance where women like slowly strip off their clothes, but they never show too much. It's uh all about like the art of teasing, pretty much. And yeah, it's it's really fun. I used to be in a burlesque show a while ago, and it was like completely topless, and I'd never done anything like that before, so that was like super fun for me. Um, it was just like a very intimate cabaret style audience, uh very close up. Uh yeah, it was it was a fun year that I did that.
Nosy Neighbor. And is it I mean when you're doing it, is the the intent to tease, is the intent to arouse, what what kind of emotions or arousal factor should the guy leaving that be having?
Ivory NyxUm, I think the main aspect that we want to get across as a burlesque dancer is, you know, we just want to entertain. But I'm sure other things come along with the sexy nature of it, um, especially if we're like completely topless. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some arousal going on there too. I don't know if that's the intent, but yeah, it definitely comes with it, I guess.
Nosy Neighbor. But it's more for the entertaining, the the titillation, if you pardon the pun.
From Ballet To Sex Work
Ivory NyxSo yeah.
Nosy Neighbor. What got you involved in sex work?
Why The Mustang Model Works
Ivory NyxOh, good question. So I was with, like I said, uh a ballet company, and I had no intent of quitting, but like towards the end of my contract, there was just some I had some injuries and some disagreements with what was going on with upper management in the company, and I just kind of was bold and decided to quit my job. And uh I was trying to make it work as a yoga teacher and a server, but I was having a hard time finding a job, and I was kind of out of work for I think almost six months after I quit, and it got to a point where I was like, okay, I need to I need to get something, and so I auditioned for a strip club, and that was kind of my introduction to sex work. I stripped for about three years, yeah. That's kind of how I started, and it wasn't until about a year ago that I found out about the brothels and got kind of deeper into that type of work, which personally I enjoy working at the brothel much more than the strip club. It's you can make much better. Yes, I feel like you can make much better connections there. Um, especially at Mustang, like I was mentioning before, uh, how there's like a bar area and a stage. So most brothels, I believe, as far as I know, are kind of lineup houses where the guy comes in and they ring a doorbell, and all the available girls on shift come out one by one, stand in a line and introduce themselves, and then a guy has to pick a girl from that lineup. Well, at Mustang Ranch, you can go that route if you want to, but most of the available girls are just gonna be hanging out in the lounge already. And you can just go up to a girl and just start talking with her, and you can talk with her for 10-15 minutes or longer before you take her back um into negotiations and where you talk about services and all that. Um, so it's a lot different than other brothels. Um, so it's kind of like similar to stripping in a way that where you can sit and talk with the customers and it's a lot more personal. But I mean, you're selling more than just a lap dance. I feel like at strip clubs, guys leave and they're very sexually frustrated or they're just trying to get sex from one of the strippers and it's illegal. So it's kind of nice that there's a place like the ranch where guys can go and just do everything that they want to do. They just have to find a lady that's down.
Nosy Neighbor. And so what was that like I mean, leading up to this, you've been, you know, dancing, you've been stripping. What was your sex life at the time as far as conventional relationships?
From Monogamy To Polyamory
Ivory NyxUh that's uh good question. So it's funny, in my early 20s, I was very much a monogamous person. I spent uh most of yeah, my the first half of my 20s in like a serious relationship. I lived with the guy and I thought I was gonna marry him and all that, and at that point I'd only been with like maybe three people, I think. And I thought that was gonna be it for me. And then towards the end of that relationship, I kind of came to terms with my bisexuality, and I came out to my boyfriend at the time and told him that I was into girls, and he thought that meant I was breaking up with him, but I wasn't, um, even though we ended up inevitably breaking up later down the line. And once we did, that kind of like opened the gates for me. I had like my first casual experience with someone that I met at a bar, and that was really exciting for me. And then I had my first experience with a woman, which was awesome, and yeah, I kind of started uh discovering I'm more of like a polyamorous person, and yeah, I like to have like deeper connections with people, but I also like having lighter connections where it's more casual and it's just fun and it's just about the sex. So yeah, I definitely was very sexually active before I uh started working at the ranch, but it's funny now that I work there in my personal life, now currently I'm not very active at all. So it's kind of funny the juxtaposition of how I used to be and how I am now in my personal life.
Safety, Trust, And First Encounters
Nosy Neighbor. And what was that like? I mean, you like you said, you had danced before, so you had teased men to the point where they left being frustrated, you explored your sexuality, but when you go to a bar and pick up someone, even though it might be impulsive, they're at least an attraction. You found them or they found you and you connected at the bar. What was it like mentally, at least going from that environment to you're showing up to work, and 10 minutes later a guy that you've never met is gonna have sex with you?
Ivory NyxYeah, um, honestly, like it was pretty easy for me. Yeah, I I thought it would be harder, uh, because typically I like to know a little bit more about the person that I'm gonna be intimate with, but something about like the protection of the ranch and knowing that there's like security right outside my door if I need it, and just uh there's just this deeper level of trust in the situation, um, as opposed to if I was just meeting someone at a bar and 10 minutes later we're doing it. So yeah, I feel like it's it comes pretty naturally to me. Like I do prefer getting to know a person more even at the ranch. Like, like, say you make an appointment with me, I usually will sit and talk with you for at least 10 minutes before we go back and negotiate, and then before we do anything, say you negotiate for a longer party, we're still kind of chatting and getting to know each other before we even do anything with our clothes off.
Price Talk And Negotiation Rules
Nosy Neighbor. So and what is that like? Because what are my I guess if I ever thought about going to a brothel, uh, the closest I've come is driven by a couple when I had to work out in Nevada for a few days. But part of my curiosity is also my frustration, and that's the ignorance over you can't discuss prices. You can't discuss prices on here, you can't discuss prices on social media. It has to be in the confines of with the customer at the ranch in in privacy. Is that a help or a hindrance as far as educating someone when they come in? Do you guys have pretty reasonable expectations? I would have no clue what to offer. And so I would feel kind of embarrassed to bring up something. Is that is that a help or a hindrance to not be able to discuss things until the actual moments almost leading up to it?
Ivory NyxYou know, it does make things a little bit trickier because I do get a lot of emails from guys who are like, I have no idea how much money to bring. And most of the time, guys uh they say they want to pay in cash, so they just want to come prepared with the money they're gonna spend. And uh yeah, we can't tell them a price, so they kind of just have to guess. Um, I I know some women they kind of like to hint, they'll say, like, oh, expect to pay similar to the price of this, but I don't even like to do that kind of verbiage because I don't want to like cross any lines. I'd rather just discuss the pricing at the ranch like we're supposed to. Like at least at Mustang Ranch, we have like separate negotiation rooms. So like I've worked at I worked at another ranch before Mustang, and like we did all our negotiations in our bedrooms. And at Mustang, we have like they're like these tiny little offices with a couch, and um yeah, it's a little bit different than other ranches.
Nosy Neighbor. And how do you, or is it security, or who kind of weeds out the people that are there just to out of curiosity? Like they have no intention of doing anything, or they can't afford to do anything, but they want to get a little bit of the experience. So, like you said, they can go and talk to the girls, they can hang out for a little bit. Who kind of maintains that okay, you're you're kind of loitering a little bit, or how is that that handled?
Ivory NyxSo at Mustang, there's technically two different businesses. So there's the bar and restaurant, and then there's the brothel. So technically, you can totally just come to the bar and restaurant and not do any services, and that happens a lot. We'll get like groups of people coming in and they just want to eat the food. Honestly, the food at Mustang is incredible. Um, it's one of my favorite things about the place. So people will come for the food and they'll talk to a girl and they just want to take a tour. And as long as they're up front that they don't want services, and usually like if I approach them and I get to talking with them, they it comes out that they don't want services, they just want a tour. I'm happy to give a tour. And then I just let them be and then they go about their day. But I'd say the majority of the people coming through the door, they want services, or they're at least curious about services.
Nosy Neighbor.Well, these are like the same people that claim that they read Playboy, but only for the articles.
How Detailed Are Negotiations
Ivory NyxYeah, exactly.
Nosy Neighbor. So you get someone that that's interested in you, you go through, you go through the negotiations. The negotiations, how detailed are they? Is it I mean, is there any I don't want to say you know, spontaneousness, but is it basically all right, you're allowed to insert this into here for this long, I'm allowed to do this for this long. I mean, how how detailed is it to where it's kind of paint by numbers sexually, or is it there's a little bit more feeling of impulsiveness to what's been arranged?
Budget, Value, And Alternatives
Ivory NyxYeah, so it all depends on what the client is looking for. So that's kind of where I always start. I always ask what type of experience uh are you looking for? And from there I get to know a little bit about themselves, uh, if they have any like kinks or fetishes, if they're looking to spend the whole night with me, or if they're just looking to do a quickie. I kind of get to know all those things within the negotiation rooms, and I ask them like uh details about the experience, like if they are expecting oral or to kiss or anything beyond vaginal sex. I I like to get that all out on the table before even talking about a number because I want to know the situation I'm stepping into and if I can even provide what they're looking for.
Nosy Neighbor. How fluid is your rate as far as what you are you pretty strict in saying this is my value, this is my worth. So doing this, or if you get some young, nervous 18-year-old that's never been with a woman, that might be a little bit different than a 40-year-old just looking to have a quick lay.
Ivory NyxYeah, totally. So I I mean, I I definitely try to work with people's budgets within reason, of course. Like I definitely have like, like you said, like I know my work and I know like I won't go below a certain number for sure. But even if the number isn't up to what I want it to be for full services, I'll try to provide something like uh maybe a lap dance or a massage or something. Uh might not be exactly what they're looking for. But uh I try to uh I try not to walk them out of the negotiation room without anything.
Authenticity Versus Performance
Nosy Neighbor. And do you find yourself like how much of it is the real you versus the performance? Because you specialize in the girlfriend experience, but you also specialize in some some rough stuff. And I would imagine going into the room with the girlfriend experience is a lot different than the mindset you carry going in with more of a dominant attitude. How much of it is performance? How much is it the real you that we're seeing, or is it all about performance?
Ivory NyxYou know, I I feel like it's it is the real me. Like, yes, I'm I'm concealing some parts of my identity for my protection, but like I don't feel like when I'm at the ranch, I don't feel like I'm like playing a character or something. I feel like I'm being myself. I just have different boundaries. And of course, like whatever the person's looking for, I'm kind of playing into their fantasy, but I'm being authentic with it. I'm being myself, and it's coming from like a true place. I'm not just faking it. Like I don't I don't like to fake anything with my clients. Like if they're doing something that I don't like, I'll tell them. Or if I feel like they can do something better, I'll tell them. Because at the end of the day, like I want them to get the most out of their experience. And if maybe they learn a thing or two about how to be better in bed, like I feel like that's worth more than probably what they paid for.
Preferences, Hygiene, And Boundaries
Nosy Neighbor. And let's say that the manum came to you and said, okay, I read for the next 10 guys, they all have to be this type of guy. What would your ideal? I mean, because I know you cater to everyone, but what would make you the most excited if you could only have the next 10 guys be a certain type? What is your favorite kind of type?
Ivory NyxOh wow. Um, I don't really think I have a type. I mean, all I could really ask for is that you're nice and respectful and that you're hygienic. I mean, I love a guy that comes in and he's showered and has maybe a little cologne on and definitely deodorant. Like uh some guys they don't come in with all that, so it makes things a little bit harder. So yeah, and also there's someone that I click with. Like it's so fun when I meet people that I actually click with and we have things in common and and we get along and we kind of like lose track of time together. And yeah, that happens sometimes, and it's really nice that it makes me like really remember why I love my job when that happens.
Nosy Neighbor. And is there any group stuff that you're not into or you might recommend to try another court as then? I know some older women don't like to do the young kids because they might have kids of their own or certain group. Is there anyone not that you discriminate against anyone, but is there anyone that just is like that's not exactly what I'm into? I would suggest to another girl.
What She Won’t Do
Ivory NyxNo, I wouldn't say there's like a certain group of people or type of person that I wouldn't work with. I think it would just be like situational. Like if they were asking for something that I just don't provide, then like I just won't work with them. Or if I'm like getting a bad vibe from them, or if I can tell they're just like not hygienic, then like I won't work with them.
Nosy Neighbor. And what would be an example of something that you're not into?
Ivory NyxI really don't like anal, like anything to do with anal. Like I don't like anal play, I don't like anal toys, I don't and some girls at the ranch are really into that stuff. And I just I don't like one time I got not at the ranch, this was like in my personal life, but I got a buck plug that was maybe a little too big for me to start out with, and it like kind of got stuck. And luckily I was able to get it out with the help of the person I was with. But after that, I was like, I don't want to do that ever again. That was like not good.
Nosy Neighbor. And how much do you think porn has influenced the the courtesan experience? I was I had a guest that recently knows a porn star, and she had a scene where she was on her arms and legs, uh kind of an inverted where it was like she was a table. So she was kind of arched back off the ground as the guy was you know sticking his dick in her. And I'm like, that isn't normal. That is that can't be fun to be upside down on the bed with your back extended. Uh how much does porn kind of influence when guests come looking for something? They say, Hey, I saw this. Can we try this? Or are you more of a traditional uh lovemaking kind of the girlfriend experience like you advertise?
Ivory NyxYeah, you know, I I definitely see a little bit of like influence from porn. Like some guys they come in and they're just like, we don't even discuss like a rough party, and like they come in and they're just like guns of blazing, really rough, throwing me on the bed, and I have to tell them to like slow down. Uh, it's usually the guys that don't have much experience, or maybe it's their first experience, they get a little too excited, and I don't think they realize how like handsy they're being. Yeah. So yeah, like I said, some guys are just like really rough, and I think it's it has some influence with porn, and I kind of have to like have another talk with them before we get into anything deeper. Uh, but for the most part, I provide more of like the girlfriend experience where we're like taking things slower and getting to know each other, talking, conversating, all that before we get into anything. And plus, like I I feel like my the clients that I typically work with are older, so they might have some limitations. So yeah, it's just it's really situational, but definitely with the younger guys, some of them I can see the influence for sure.
Nosy Neighbor.Does it ever get I mean, a lot of us joke that you know I work so much that the only place I'd find a relationship is someone at work? Does it ever get frustrating that there has to be this kind of emotional separation that you can't have something conventional? I mean, you like you've said that you've had moments where you've lost kind of time with with someone, but then they leave and it it's it's not real. Uh does that get frustrating as far as your personal life? You said that right now you're not dating anyone. Is that something that you're looking for? How do how do you deal with the emotions of being a young woman that has a life outside of being a courtesan that has her own sexuality and and whatnot?
Ivory NyxYeah, I mean, at the end of the day, I'm I'm a human, you know? And if I spend the whole day with someone, like, you know, I I might connect with them in a deeper way than I expected, but at the end of the day, I know that they're a client and we keep that professional relationship. But yeah, as far as my personal life, I definitely I feel like I've I've kept my circle pretty small since I've started this job. Uh because I like to be very open about what I do uh with the people in my personal life, especially if I'm dating them. And yeah, it's just something I haven't really uh done a whole lot of yet since I've been in this job.
Nosy Neighbor. And have you had in doing since doing this job, have you had any conventional relationships or tried having conventional relationships? What is that like to be sexual with Ivy Nicks, the the courtesan versus having sex with Ivy Nicks the woman? Not that you're not a woman as Ivory Nick, but I mean, I get what you're saying.
Stigma, Secrecy, And Family
Ivory NyxI mean, yeah, it's that's a really good question. I when I started the job, so I started at a different ranch back in February of 2025. When I started the job, I was in a relationship, and then like I want to say like two weeks after the tour ended, uh, so did the relationship. But I had nothing to do with the job, it was other things. But yeah, since then I've been on a few dates, I'd say, and they just weren't very successful. I think they were like just a little bit hesitant about what I did for work. I feel like a lot of people like they don't know a lot about work, like what working on a brothel would entail, and they have certain judgments and whatnot when it comes to sex work, and they kind of just shut down, you know, and instead of asking questions and trying to embrace it, they're just like, oh, that's not for me. I try to really protect myself from people like that that are gonna be super judgmental about it because it is such a big part of my life.
Nosy Neighbor. And does that get frustrating at times that you have to be so protective that you almost assume that you're gonna get hurt before you can get hurt?
Ivory NyxYeah, I mean, I've had to cut some people off because they were just like being weird about my job. Like, I have this friend that she like introduced me to someone as her sex worker friend, and I was like, okay, I did not want that person to know that I do sex work. Like in my personal life, I'm not just telling everyone what I do. Like, I I do have to protect myself at the end of the day because yeah, I don't want I don't want just anyone finding out where I work and what I do, and like because the people that know what I do, they know why I do it, and like the people that don't know why, like they're not gonna understand. And like I don't really need them to understand, but I also don't need their judgment.
Off-Duty Life And Self-Care
Nosy Neighbor. Is that an unfortunate kind of deal with being a courtesan? Because I've never had to justify why I work where I work or do what I do. Uh, it seems like there's a still a lot of taboo with being courtesans, despite what you're doing being completely illegal. Is that a frustrating thing to have to always feel being defensive, always feel like you're you know about to get hurt by talking to someone? Uh does that take an emotional tool?
Ivory NyxTotally. I mean, yeah, it sucks. Like when you go on a date with someone and you think it's going great, and then you get a text the next day that's not gonna work out, and I'm just like, well, what could it be? Like everything else aligned, but I guess I'm just assuming they don't like what I do for work, or like my least favorite part about this is that not everyone in my family knows what I do, so uh that's kind of hard. Um, and I I chose not to tell everyone because of their background and their beliefs, and I just know it would be uh kind of a fight if they found out. So yeah, I I keep it private to to a lot of people. So that's that kind of takes a toll too. Because I'm like, oh, what if they find out? What are they gonna say? Are they gonna confront me? Are they gonna be upset with me? Are they gonna understand why I kept it private?
Nosy Neighbor.A little bit more diving into your personal life. Ivory Nix, the the real person, again, I hate using that term, but separating from the courtesan, you know, what is your life when you're off from the ranch and you're not working at the ranch? Are you a sexual? I mean, are you masturbating? Do you have a favorite toy? Is there do you watch porn or is when you're off it sex is almost like the uh I'm not at work? So how how does the woman part and the I mean, because you have needs, you have wants and and desires, how does that play off of it being work and feeling like work?
Dating After The Ranch
Ivory NyxYeah, I mean, I I'm pretty lucky in the fact that I have a pretty high sex drive, so it makes my job pretty easy because I have a lot of stamina, but that doesn't just go away when I'm not at work. So when I'm not at work, like I said, I'm not really dating anyone right now, so I'm definitely masturbating a lot. I I have like my favorite vibrators. I have this toy a friend gave it to me a couple Christmases ago. It's uh it's called the Medusa toy, and it it's it's got like this crazy like octopus-looking tongue, and the tongue like kind of goes in a circular motion and it goes inside, and then there's like this lip part that like simulates the clit. I love that toy. I use that one a lot, or I I like just like the basic like wand vibrator, that's always great, and yeah, I do watch porn, yeah. Just kind of it's fun to have like a visual something to look at when you're doing that, so yeah.
Nosy Neighbor. And if you were made courtesan ruler of the of Nevada for a day, what would be a big change that you would want to make in the industry overnight that you feel would be beneficial for the industry?
Ivory NyxOoh, well, I would definitely I think I would you know decriminalize sex work altogether because it's hurting a lot of people, and just putting boundaries around it is not gonna make it any better. So if I were in charge, like I mean maybe this is more like nationwide than just statewide, but yeah, I would decriminalize sex work.
Addressing Judgment And The Healer Role
Nosy Neighbor. And when you're out in public or doing, I don't know how much promotion Mustang does outside of the ranch of anything, uh, but even when guests are visiting, you kind of mentioned this, but I wanted it to be its own question just to emphasize it. How do you prefer to be talked to? Because I think we mentioned before porn has a lot of influence in how men view approaching women, but how is it best to treat you and talk to you? I I wanted it to be its own standout question just to, like I said, emphasize it.
Ivory NyxUm, yeah, I mean, I just want people to come as they are and to be themselves, you know. So people that come to the ranch, you know, they might not just be looking for sex, they might be looking for companionship or deeper intimacy, or uh some guys they come in and they're they're sad about something. Like they just want someone to talk to, almost like a therapist. So I just want people to come as they are and just be honest about what they want out of the experience and not try to like because some guys they come in and they're just so nervous and they talk this big talk, and then we go in there, and then uh the clothes are off, and they're like, Well, actually, here's the thing, and and then I find out what they really want, and I'm like, Well, why didn't you just say that to begin with? You know.
Long-Term Plans And School
Nosy Neighbor. And as far as when you came into this from dancing, and you still do some dancing and stuff like that. Is there other avenues in the industry that you're looking at doing, you know, more porn? Is there uh I know you had only fans, but you haven't been too active on that from what I saw. Is there other avenues that you're exploring?
Ivory NyxYeah, I was doing OnlyFans, but I decided this year to kind of stop. I'm I might go back, but um, it's just kind of something I'm not super interested in anymore. And I'm gonna be at the ranch more this year, and I want on my time off to like actually let it be time off. And it's been nice to not worry about posting every day. But like I said, I might I might go back into it. Like if say I've been at the ranch for a while and I get more of a social media following, I might. Um, but I also have plans to go back to school, so I don't want my digital footprint to be too crazy. So that's also something I need to consider.
Nosy Neighbor. And you kind of just hinted at it there, but what is life like outside of the brothel for you without getting too revealing or too personal into your life? What is kind of your regular routine?
How To Reach Ivy
Ivory NyxUm, so especially when I first get back, I'm usually pretty tired. So I sleep a lot. Um, I have a cat. Um, her name is Molly, and she's uh everything. We cuddle, and so usually I'll spend like the first few days just like cuddling with her and relaxing, and I'll slowly unpack and then I try to get into somewhat of a routine. I like to work out, so I'm I lift weights like four or five times a week. I also really love yoga. Um, I try to do that like kind of as a warm-up before I lift weights. And I also like if I'm too sore to lift weights, I'll do a little Pilates. Um, but I also I really love uh my aerial hoop. Uh I train on that. Probably not as much as I want to. I used to do it a whole lot more. It's kind of hard because when I'm at the ranch, I can't train. But when I'm here, I try to train. At least take like a class here and there and like get in the gym and just do my own thing. But yeah, I'm also I'm really close with my mom. So I hang out with her a lot when I'm home. And yeah, I'm kind of in the phase of my life where I'm like entertaining dating. So I might go on a date or two, but nothing is really like stuck yet. So I'm still kind of like looking, but I I kind of like shy away. I'll like dip my toes into dating and then I shy away, and then I'll go back to it. So we'll see where I'm at in like a few weeks with that. But yeah, I really I really value my time with my family, so yeah, that's important to me.
Nosy Neighbor.Does does seeing the men at the brothel does it advance your desire to date or kind of say this is what's out there? No offense to the clients, but like I need something more. Does it get you excited to find the men out there, or is it just wow, this is the pool I'm I'm choosing from?
Ivory NyxUm well it definitely uh it kind of I don't know. I'm just like I do think about this sometimes. I'm just like, what if like I meet someone and they've like been to a brothel before? Like I could have they could have been my client, like because a lot of like I don't know, there's there's guys that come in, like I have this one client that he had never been to a brothel before and his friend dragged him there, and that's probably the only time he's ever gonna go. And he's it he's definitely was not like my typical client at all. So yeah, I don't know. I just I meet such a wide variety of people, like from people that are there to lose their virginities, and then there's people that are there to because they're not getting what they need out of their marriage, or there's the people there because their wife died, and they have there they have no one to be intimate with anymore.
Nosy Neighbor.Wrapping things up, and I do appreciate you coming on. There is a lot of stigma, a lot of negativity towards the industry, towards what you do, um, towards being a courtesan. What would you tell those people? Not, I mean, not to be confrontational, but you're doing what you're doing because you chose to do it. You're doing what you're doing, uh, which is fully legal. You're you know, the license, uh, the testing and all that stuff is done. You are within the legal guidelines, you're voluntarily doing it and willing doing it. What do you have to say to the people that might be still judgmental?
Ivory NyxYeah, I mean, at the end of the day, it's just a job. You know, it's not who I am, it's it's just a job, it's the way I provide for myself and my future. And I think it's an excellent way to provide for yourself. Like if it fits who you are and what you can handle as a person, because I don't think just anyone can do this job because at the end of the day, we're not just girls that you can have fun with, you know, we're girls you can confide in. And you know, uh not to be too woo-woo, but I feel like a lot of sex workers are healers, like they're there because they want to help people, and they, you know, it's it is like an energy exchange at the end of the day. And yeah, you have to kind of have a good head on your shoulders and be a positive, enlightening person to do that job.
Nosy Neighbor. It does seem like in the the courses I've been talking to and doing this podcast, it does seem to be there's a lot more shrink element to it that I don't think gets appreciative that you are able to open up people in ways that might not be conventional, but still get some to open up, even though there is a a sexual element to it. But just that's one of the feelings I get from from talking to to women like you. And finally wrapping things up, what does the future hold? I mean, right now the MILF is a common thing, and we're seeing older porn stars and stuff like that. Is this a long-term goal of career of yours? Is this something to get to a certain point? You know, you said you're looking at going back to school. What does the future hold for Ivory Knicks?
Ivory NyxYeah, I mean, I don't see myself leaving the ranch anytime soon. I feel like I'm kind of in it for the long haul, but I also know I'm not gonna do it forever, so that's why I do have plans to go back to school, and I'll probably simultaneously work and go back to school if I can. And yeah, eventually I'll move on from this, and this will all just be a memory, and I'll just have the stories. But for right now, yeah, I feel like this is just the beginning for me. Like I'm I'm ready to do this for a while at least.
Nosy Neighbor. And are you I know you're on social media. Um, is there a favorite avenue that you like fans of yours to reach out to talk to you?
Ivory NyxIf they're interested in an appointment, I would definitely reach out through email. My email is ivory nix at mustangranch.com. And then yeah, I'm on Instagram and TikTok as well.
Nosy Neighbor. And again, you can't discuss any pricing or anything like that, so don't ask her, but I'll include the the link to the Mustang Ranch on your profile. And Ivory Nix, thank you so much for coming on. I sincerely appreciate it. And I'd like you know, shedding a little light on these Cortes and women to show that they are real people. And I think my dream one day is to have someone come into the Mustang Ranch and say, I heard you on a podcast. I loved hearing your voice, hearing your laugh. And so I decided to come and check you out. And so that's the goal is to kind of educate and get to know these people as real people. So I thank you for coming on.
Ivory NyxThank you so much for having me. It was a pleasure.
